Today is the 21st, and from here through these next few days, we got to keep a lookout for Froyo notifications on our phones. If you get notified to update android, post the time you got it (Timezone too!) and where you live. As always if you don't have access to a charger when your prompt to do the update or your phone is not completely stock, do not begin the update as you will be able to do it manually starting on the 24th. Any questions? Otherwise let's get the ball rolling!
 
10-4!!! Been waiting for Sprint to get their act together for some time now.

First thing I did this morning when I woke up was check for system updates. Nothing yet...
 
Same here, nothing yet. If you look at sprint's newsroom, it says noting about the transform, but the galaxy tab and the epic is getting it.
 
Hmm...I don't know what to think anymore. I just chatted with a Sprint Representative named Aaron C. He told me that Froyo 2.2 has been delayed again due to problems with the version.

Guess we'll see. I don't trust the representatives at all.

Edit: Also to Fuji...That post you linked says it was made in Dec 14, 2010...

Editx2: Well actually now that I look more closely it says release day 03/21/2011 though...So..idk.
 
Which means we continue to wait for now but the release is official and as of a few minuets ago the update should start rolling out. Be sure to keep checking for updates everyone!
 
When the update is available for your phone will you get a message on the Notification bar or do we need to just keep checking...
 
Pretty sure it'll be automatic...But if you don't get it by the 24th you should manually check by going into About Phone, etc.

Somebody needs to run a logcat when they get the notice to update, so that when the update starts it'll capture the url it's downloading from, that way everybody can get the update.zip.

because that's what it showed on my cell screen when I first saw it.

The Overland Park, KS release from Sprint says that the tablet and Epic are getting updates today, but yet it lacks any mention of the Transform getting an update. I saw the updates to the maintenance blogs about Transform, so I found it odd they didn't say Transform in the news release

From samsung website:

Samsung has released an Android 2.2 Froyo OS software update (EB28) for the SPH-M920 (Transform), which is recommended to be installed. This upgrades the device from Android 2.1 (Eclair) to Android 2.2 (Froyo) and includes software improvements. If the device contains DI11, a notification to update to EB28should be received. The update process will be performed OTA (Over The Air). It may take several minutes to complete.

How Do I Obtain The Android 2.2 Froyo (EB28) Software Update For My Sprint SPH-M920 (Transform) Phone?

Well, almost 5PM here in USA Eastern timezone. Still no update. Haven't heard any news of anyone getting it yet.

i lovee how reps never know wtff their talking about, and its pretty obvious they dont.
also it seems like their always on auto pilot.
 
I swear, Samsung and Sprint are both so contradictory. Yesterday Samsung told me, no update, while today they said there is an update. Sprint told me today from two employees, with one that hanged up one me, yes and no. Its a shame that their customer service is so bad. Also heads up to Hyndon for being a hilarious troll xD! But from all the websites is seems its only OTA, and all of us should receive sometime this week but not later than Thursday. We just gotta be patient until each one of your phones get it, and then well I guess it will be a party :D! Hopefully most of us recieve it today or tomorrow, and I hope that the people who bought it first get it first cause that seems only fair compared to the people who bought it in October and me who got it like a month ago. And if you have received the update please do tell how it runs because I am VERY eager :D!
