shared photo galleries

How do i prevent my Galaxy S3 from loading the photo galleries of other devices? I am a university student, and so when i am on campus wi-fi, everytime i want to open my own photo gallery, my phone loads dozens of other peoples' galleries too and it takes forever (~5 minutes or more) and I cant open my own gallery until all of them are loaded. I dont want to load any of their stuff, i just want to view my gallery promptly and view my own pictures. Please help

Hi

Welcome to the forums.

That's odd. Are you all using the same Google account (maybe a college account that gives some storage space? ) If so perhaps you are all syncing photos to the same gdrive space? What you describe is not normal just as a result of using the same wifi network.

I suggest either you post again with some more background or better still, register on the forums so that a 2 way discussion can be had.

we all have seperate email accounts which are gmail accounts, and the login info for the email account is the same as the log in info for which to gain access to the university's wi-fi. I dont think this issue is confined to my campus wi-fi because I have been in public wi-fi hot spots before and have still experienced this same occurrence.

Hi again

I am going to see if I can get some more help on this.

A couple of questions:

Is this happening to anyone else?
Did your college issue the gmail accounts to you all?
Is your Google account set to auto sync pictures (or dropbox etc) I assume it is.

Welcome to Android Forums bdkirkpatrick. I moved this to the Android Lounge where more members will see it and hopefully help get you sorted.

Are you possible seeing multiple G+ and/or picassa galleries. I have a few show up on my phone.:dontknow:
