I'll bet Apple loves this. As the article points out, the exploding battery problem "...may be linked to third-party USB-C cables." Still, with Apple introducing the iPhone 7 next week, a delay in shipments of the Note 7 is bad news for Samsung. As HDC Asset Management Fund manager Park Jung-hoon said, "Samsung will need to respond to this quickly in order to calm market jitters."
"Calm market jitters"? How about calming Note 7 owner jitters???
EDIT: Now they're talking about a RECALL and refund? This is not encouraging.

Hopefully, as the article suggests, this problem is isolated to South Korea.

Different electrical outlets aren't there? Maybe they were using US cables or batteries.

It seems that there is now a worldwide recall of ALL Galaxy Note 7's...
"The company has formally announced a worldwide recall of the Galaxy Note 7 today and has said that it’s going to voluntarily replace units that have already been shipped."

Samsung has abandoned its U.K. launch of the Galaxy Note 7. At least 35 phones have suffered from defective batteries in the 2 weeks since launch.
