I was wondering if was possible to create an app where you can tally (basically add up)the goods that you buy every week at the supermarket, but with the added bonus of being able to scan the barcode on the item and being able to store that barcode and any information like price to a data base for future shopping trips (then it makes it quicker the next time around).
I think this would be a great handy app for those who are living on a limited budget or where the store has a promotion where the shopper needs to spend a minimum amount to receive a discount.
If the app could look like a cash register screen or shopping docket. Needs to be able to add multiple of the same item and be easy to add fruit and veg as the prices of these items vary. And the option to change the price of an item if it is on special.
I think if the app is made easy to use there would be great potential for an app like this as there is not much out there.
