Pardon me, but I really have to throw some roses to the team that developed ShopSavvy. THAT is one creative piece of software!

So far most people have no idea what this phone is and have never heard of it (nice advertising job, Google) but jaws drop every time I demo this app.

Yup... same with me. Its the first app I show people. But also make sure to check out CompareEverywhere by Jeffrey Sharkey - another great barcode scanning app.

The barcode scanner in ShopSavvy seems much nicer than the one in CompareEverywhere.

It's pretty sweet to have a phone that has two barcode scanners to compare though

I seem to like Compare Everywhere a little bit more! Savvy has a much better GUI but i think Compare everywhere recognizes more barcodes... I also like that there are two of them!

I just downloaded this app and tried to scan some things around my room. I was amazed at how well it worked.

Rob is right, CompareAnywhere is pretty awesome too. It finds local stores with products as opposed to stores on the web.

i forgot i had installed this before bed..was sitting at work all day and remembered cuz i was trying to show up my boss's iphone. everyone was in awe. anyone that walked by my cube, got a demonstration lol

Its not all that creative considering phones in japan have been doing it for a while now, but better. But isnt that always the story.
