How many people are being redirected from Android Forums by this nasty hack?

I call it a hack because it's not a virus or malware just a clever exploit of the Android ecosystem.

Why don't you just use an ad blocker?
Firefox + uBlock Origin
I use Opera with built-in ad blocker...

I don't want to mess with the revenue stream. Sites need money to live.
Those bandwidth bills don't pay themselves.

The majority of web attacks come through malicious advertisements purchased by criminals and displayed on mainstream websites. You don't have to be in a scummy part of the web, you can go to Forbes.com and get a malvertisement... They don't care about my security, I don't care about their money...
