Should I buy a external AMP or switch to the HTC 10 if I'm an audiophile?

I love this phone and it's features but one feature that is really lacking is the sound quality through the headphone jack. My iPhone 6s sounded better tbh, should i just she'll out some money for a separate AMP/DAC or whatever they call it or sell this and get a HTC 10?

Have you adjusted the built in EQ in the settings? You have to do it with the headphones plugged in because it changes based on the speaker you use.
