I think that cashback deal on eBay is an amazing opportunity, for that price it's almost hard to say no.

Sorry, I don't know anything about an unlock program, but I'm pretty sure T-Mobile has to do it.

Just be careful, I have been burned on Ebay once or twice, so make sure the item you are buying is what you want and check their feedback!

I've seen a lot of the on-hand G1s with the ebay member's name in the picture, look for that! And also, pay only with PayPal to help prevent getting burned.

A lot of the scam artists don't tell you that they are actually just selling you the BOX. Read the description carefully and ONLY buy from a reputable seller. Bottom line. Take no risks with ebay.
