Should I get the Galaxy S3 from Verizon?

Should I preorder the galaxy s3 and upgrade my iphone 4, or wait for the iPhone 5? What are the pros and cons of the upgrade? I do have a macbook, ipad, and apple TV

Totally up to you and your personal preferences. I personally wouldn't even own an iPhone 4, and the iPhone 5 is in way way even on my phone radar, so I already put in my GS3 preorder. But if you prefer iOS to Android, then maybe waiting for the iP5 would be the better choice for you. And since you already have all the other Apple stuff, it would go nicely with your collection, and probably be nice and seamless for you to use them with each other. What do you want out of a phone?

I'm in the same boat. Like the other guy said- it's up to you. Have you ever owned an Android device?

What I am doing is waiting. I'm gonna wait until the iPhone 5 is released. Then I can compare it to the S3... but most likely by the time the iPhone 5 is released in the fall, the S3 will be dead, it have turned into a piece of junk by then. There will be a harder, better, faster, stronger Android device. Whereas Apple update once a year, Android is the exact opposite. They evolve at a manic speed. Don't be surprised if the next hot Android phone this fall will be a hexa-core processor running Android 5.0 (jelly bean) with a better and bigger screen, more memory, more of everything.

Welcome Pepowdylan!
We are glad you have joined us in the Android Forums.:)

I have moved this thread into the Verizon forum, so people who are familiar with VZW service, and their phones can read, and respond.
Thanks,

Yep, your best bet is to wait until both phones are out so you have the most information to make your decision. I constantly switch back and forth between iOS and Android, and there's so many things about each that I like and dislike. Since you already have quite a few other Apple devices, I'm sure the new iPhone 5 will fit right in and work well together. However, if you're in need of a change, then the GS3 will certainly be a nice phone.

I personally like having iOS and Android devices simultaneously. Right now, I have a Galaxy Nexus phone and a "new" iPad. I too have a Macbook, iMac, Apple TV, and we have 3 iPad's in our household. :-) I love how they all work well together, but I'm also happy having an Android phone. So I preordered the GS3 and will use it until the iPhone 5 comes out. If the latter is a great upgrade, then I'll sell the GS3 and buy the iPhone 5 unsubsidized (which is what I'll have to do anyway if I want to keep my unlimited data). At least right now I was able to keep my unlimited data by preordering the GS3.

Good luck!

losing unlimited data may not matter to him if he isn't a heavy data user.

I'd wait till October.

Also fwiw i will never own another Sammy phone.

Well it sounds like your an apple guy, so I suggest waiting for the iphone5. You can't go wrong really with any of these phones. So its up to your own wants/needs.

Wait for the Droid Razr HD. I have a MBP, iPad, ATV and 2 iMacs. my Razr Maxx syncs flawlessly with my main iMac thanks to Motocast.

would you expect the CEO of the company who makes the Iphone to say otherwise?

Of course not, but it's interesting reading while I'm waiting for the release or at least some quality info on the Maxx HD.

Patiently/impatiently waiting for the release of the Maxx HD! :)

Sure I'll wait for that but I haven't been a fan of Motorola droids.
The one big thing that I like about android is if you have nfc, you can play with the tectiles.

For a company that enslaves workers to the point they have to commit suicide, this guy has the nerve to talk. And how can he talk about back-stabbing when he is in a country where unscrupulous business practice is a norm, a country where bribery is a standard part of business transaction, a country where they sell fake soy source that poisons people?:mad::mad:

Foxconn itself IS A SHAME.

You say this, but then you support Foxconn. You know Foxconn (aka Hon Hai Precision Industry) makes the display for your iPhone 4S.

Well other companies work with Foxconn. Ironically Samsung has dealt with them in the past as well. The issue is we all want our shiny toys. As cheap as possible.
