Should I get the Galaxy S3 now or wait for the LG Nexus 4?

currently using a HTC Desire HD and i'm antsy for something new. should i grab the S3 or wait for the Nexus 4? the supposedly more powerful processor of the Nexus is appealing to me, but the 16 GB storage cap is kinda turning me off.

then again, it'll likely be cheaper on no contract, which is what i'm going for

your advice?

Moved to the Device/Carrier Comparison section. :)

haven't heard much about the LG nexus, but between the S3 and Nexus I would say you can't go wrong with either device.

When are you looking to buy?

If you can wait a 1 or 2 weeks, then you can get the Nexus 4. Otherwise, get the Samsung Galaxy S3.

You'll like both devices, really. I really like the HD Super AMOLED screens of the Samsung Galaxy line because they are so vibrant and have higher contrast than LCD screens.

Have a read of The Verge's review of the LG Optimus G, which will essentially be the same as the Nexus 4 but with much better UI and on-time Google updates:

If I was you, I'd get the LG Nexus 4. Classy design (similar to the SGS2 but probably better built) and the design will never get old/boring.

I very much like the design of the LG Nexus 4 over the design of the SGS3.

As near as I can tell, the LG Nexus 4 is internal 8GB only, according to "full specs." on phonearena.com.

(droid-life.com does state 16GB though.)

LG Nexus 4.

Galaxy S3 is a nice phone but it's performance was never that impressive, it's always felt like a stop gap until the next generation devices get released.

The only problem with Nexus Phones and tablets is the lack of storage and sdcard slot. :(

Actually the SGS3's performance was the most impressive when it first came out.

Still, it is the smoothest smartphone on the market. Yes, it's even smoother than the iPhone 5 in real-world performance.

I'm waiting for Monday to see for sure but I would be astounded if they only can in 8GB. I would prefer 32GB but I've never needed more than half the 16G on my iPhone 4S so I'm sure that will be fine.

However, pay attention Google spies, I would NOT buy the Nexus 4 if it's only got 8GB.

yeah i heard rumours that it might come in 16 GB and only then would i consider getting it. 8 GB and no microSD slot is laughable
