Should I go for rooting my phone?

Hello people..
I bought my phone Samsung Galaxy Y a few days back. I live in India and phones come unlocked.

I want to ask these questions :-

1) In what manners will Rooting help to increase my phone's performance?
2) Does rooting cause any harm to my phone?
3) Can I un-root my phone after rooting?

Please answer ASAP. :)

Hello, welcome to Android Forum.

1) In what manners will Rooting help to increase my phone's performance?
Rooting doesn't change the performance of the phone. People "root" their device just to have more control over it. For example; removing, changing, and adding things on the device.

2) Does rooting cause any harm to my phone?
The possibility of "bricking" your device is likely, but not a "strong" possibility.

3) Can I un-root my phone after rooting?
Yes! You can always un-root a rooted device. Below is a link about about rooting - go ahead and give it a read. Best of luck. Happy Holidays. :)
