Should I install Pie ?

My Moto X4 (google Fi) is only a month old and I'm still getting used to Oreo.

I got a message from Motorola that there is an update for my phone and the info says it is for Pie (android 9).

Maybe I should skip getting used to Oreo and just get the Pie.

has anyone tried it on this phone ? any problems?

thanks

I have the Google-Fi Moto X4 and I got the Nov security patch last WK, Pie update notification hit yesterday.. I've been nervous too but it'll be fun. I need to hit WiFi to DL the 2GB update

Nervously (What else?) I did the Oreo > Pie on my X4 last night. No problems and I like it. In fact, having used Kit Kat and Nougat as well on several devices over the past six years, it looks like Pie will be my favorite. And I'm no big fan of Google's Android.

Cheers.

OTA updates are usually uneventful because the updates are thoroughly tested before release.

But the real question is whether a device might run better with a higher version of the operating system?

It's not always the case with Windows powered computers.

Has anyone received the update on the amazon version. My son had his replaced under warranty and recvieved a non amazon version. He has the update. mine has not.
