Should I use the standard mail app or Gmail app?

Hi:

I'm an Android n00b.

Which is the better solution, the default mail app or should I use the Gmail app?

I have several accounts (as follows):

2 Gmail Accounts
2 Gmail Apps Accounts (personal accounts, not business)
1 Hotmail (I don't really use this and I don't need to have it on my phone).

Thank you :)

Gmail
IMHO I would get my close and trusted contacts off the hotmail over to gmail.
and I would recomend the 2 step log in option
(actually becomes less steps with the smartphone add-on)
enjoy

i suggest Gmail, but you can always add other email account to your phone. ;)

How do you add several Gmail accounts to the Gmail app?

I've added my Gmail account and my Google Apps accounts to the account manager, but when I pull up the Gmail app, it will only allow me to use the Gmail account.

Also, how would I make the Gmail app the default e-mail client on the phone?

What is the 2 step option?

Thank you :)

I use the standard email app mainly so that I get the same interface across all my email accounts (gmail, hotmail, ovi)

To add google apps account to gmail app
Start gmail app
From menu select accounts
Click on adds account

enter your email address as username e.g. rink@mycomp.com

Now you should be able to switch between the accounts by clicking on account name on top right corner.
