Should The Right To Anonymize Your Online Activity Be Written Into Law

Android has many browsers/VPN based apps designed to hide your activity, but should it be written into law that your anonymity online and your right to keep it, will never be taken away, in the same way as your right to peaceful protest?

Yes, but it never will happen, at least in the US. Although total anonymity might be impossible, there are several things you can do to mask your true identity.

Even with the use of VPNs, and going through multiple VPNs, you can still be traced if the desire is there for any government to do it.

Encryption will slow them down a bit.... but the dribble I write is hardly worth their effort.

^^^this.

if you wanted to talk about what you CAN do right now to protect your info, that's a different practical question for this forum.

Agreed. Good luck getting any such rights written into UK law - if you've been watching how they responded to Snowden's revelations you'll realise how little chance you'd have of getting such a law passed, of the spooks paying any attention, or of Parliament holding them to account (though any discussion of that really belongs in the Politics and Current Affairs forum, and so would be off-topic here).
