There's no option to choose to show tasks in the calendar. I think this is because there is no option to sync tasks from exchange to the phone in the settings. It worked on my old HTC One, but not on my new One Plus One. In the calendar application I want to be able to see both events and tasks, from both my google and exchange account in one application like I could before. I know there exist several 3rd party applications which can provide some of these features, but I want them all in one app.

I wonder if this is something that is HTC specific, it also has a "task" app which came built in when i got the HTC, which the other android device don't have.

If there are some experts out there I'm interested in learning more about how all this specific magic syncing works, so don't be afraid of getting too technical (or political for that matter, why it works with one device, and not another, I thought Androids should be very compatible).

Anroid versions:
HTC One: 4.4.3
One Plus One: 4.4.4

HTC built the first Windows phone (and the HTC One M8 is still available with Windows) and they have licensing agreements with Microsoft. No one does Exchange ActiveSync better.

Check out "Team Calendar Sync"

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamsite.android.calendar.generated

That's exactly what you need for Exchange ActiveSync calendars.

You'll still have trouble with Tasks and that has to do with how Microsoft closed the API as memory serves.

I may still have a copy of the conversation I had with the dev, will post back if so.

Thank you for your reply. I'd be happy to pay the price if it does what I want:
Calendar+tasks with google+Exchange active sync in one app like before.

I also checked out the new Outlook app, and can't access the tasks from there either.

There are different applications where I can see my exchange tasks, but I can't make them visible in a calendar. Ugh, strange how this suddenly have turned out as trouble.

I hear you loud and clear my friend.

Until Microsoft opens up, we're stuck not seeing them where they belong. :(
