Showing Gallery Pics in a certain order?

Another silly question:

I want to use DENVER tablets in class and I'd like my students to view pics in a certain order.

I have copied the folder with the pics to the tablets (Gallery), gave each pic a number but they are shown in a random order.

Is there any way I can determine the order those pics are shown?

You can sort individual folders by name/date/path ascend or descend.
