shutter sound on galaxy prevail 2

how do you turn off the shutter sound on the Samsung galaxy prevail 2? it goes through boost mobile(basically sprint). i have tried everything i can think of.
 
Hi and welcome to the forum, I believe that most phones are bound by law to keep a shutter sound to prevent people from taking private pictures, however I know on ny own phones if I put it on silent mode then the shutter sound goes off, but I'm in the UK! Other options are often to root the phone and delete the sound file manually, I'm not familiar enough with your phone, but I'd imagine there is a section within this site on how to root it etc :-)
