My advice is to stick with the ROM that is made for your carrier. They can be fickle and with one carrier running GSM and the other running CDMA, it can get confusing.
Try visiting the Samsung Galaxy S4 Forum. At the bottom is the All Things Root Guide for all carriers.
You could Android Forums Here and post your question in one of the All Things Root Guide.
