Help signal strength?

Ok I don't know what is going on with my phone! Up till a month ago I was having no problems with it. I have a LG optimus & it was saying 3x till we had a storm & now says 1x -95 to -96dBm. I'm now having problems with calls, text going through, & the internet. What is wrong & can I do? Apps & internet having problems opening!

Thank you! My boyfriend has a different phone too and have the same problem. We both have Verizon. Didn't know if it has do with Verizon or the phone itself?!
 
You are in it now.

If you both are having the same problem I suggest that it is likely a problem with the Verizon tower. Contact Verizon (not the retail store) and ask about service at your specific location.
