If you have anything that is replacing the signal strength bars or "4g" or "3g" indicators, your data connection is compromised in one of several possible ways. Tell us about your device, first: which Android device to you have? Do you have a data plan with a provider/carrier or are you trying to connect via wifi router? Has it been functioning properly? Did you make some change to the system such as rooting or downloading a 3rd party app?
