Signing keys etc...

Hello all - I'm brand new to Android dev and am a bit out of my depth - I'm hoping some of you can help me.

I've been building my first apps using Construct 3. I export the file as an Android(Cordova) build and then I have to take it into Phonegap to build again to add some of the native features.

To build in Phonegap I need to add signing keys etc.

Can someone point me to where I register for these signing keys? Do I need to register for a dev account or is it only the Google Play store that I need to register for? Like I said, I'm out of my depth here...

You have to generate the public/private key pair using keytool. See here for instructions:

Yeah, but these are instructions if you're using an Windows machine - the iOS tab tells you how to create signing keys for iOS apps using a Mac, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere showing me how I create a signing key for an Android app while using a Mac computer.
