Silencing the music, etc

I have tried but can't seem to get this app to be quiet. I have notifications set to off but unlike apps such as FB, I can find no settings menu withing the pokemon go app itself.
Pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Can't find how to delte post but my daughter answered my question.

In the main interface (the map), tap the Pokéball in the bottom center of the screen, then tap "Settings" in the top right corner.
