Silly Precautious Question about Rooting

There is no "silly" precautious question about rooting - it's very important to understand exactly what you're getting into, the benefits and risks, and what to do if you run into trouble. That said, you can try the Galaxy Tab 4 Root Section where there are rooting tutorials.

Your first action as a rooted user should be to flash a custom recovery like ClockworkMod or TWRP (hopefully available for the GTAB4) and make a backup of your freshly-rooted configuration. That will be the baseline: if you ever botch something, you can wipe it and restore to THAT known good point. Before you do anything - ANYTHING - fancy, especially if it involves system settings, make another backup!

My last bit of advice is this: Fate Grand Order is free in Play and does not require root access. You want to install a fan translation that DOES require root access. Red flags and blaring alarms are going off in my head! Before you install something on your device that needs root, check the permissions carefully! Something somebody put in there wants total, complete control of your device and you need to know why. It may be something as simple as installing drivers... it may be that someone wants the tablet to send your personal data back to them. Proceed with extreme caution here.
