Sim card backup

I am new and sorry if this has been asked before but i am about to move to Vodafone from o2 and i need to back up all my contacts on my sim.

I have just had a new Htc Desire and o2 have told me i will lose my contacts when they deactivate my sim card so i need to put them on the Desire.

You really need to look into a way to transfer your contacts via PC. I doubt the SIM phone book supports all the fields you want to retain unless you only have one phone number per contact and no other contact info.
