Help sim card problem

I just got a xperia x10 from my aunt so I tried putting in my sim card but there was some sort of plastic in it what you could pull out a small bit. but I could not put my sim card in it. so I tried pulling it out but those plastic things broke. Now my sim card can only go half way in.

what can I do??
