Help SIM unlock

Hi

Does anyone know how to do this themselves (through a code generator for example), or had any luck getting it done from their network provider or 3rd party?

Vodafone haven't managed to provide one in the space of a month; trying an option off eBay that's had loads of feedback in unlocking, they've said that the codes aren't available at the minute; and having done a bit of browsing, someone said they'd been told the codes wouldn't be available 'til a lot later in the year!

It's looking as though I may have to change my phone to swap network providers, but that just seems a bit too extreme!

The codes are no longer generated by algorithm, the way Nokia used to do it (so they van't be generated by a generator). It usually takes months for someone to leak the database of unlock codes for a new phone. So it looks as if you're right - if Vodaphone won't give you the code, and you have to unlock your phone now, you're going to have to get an older phone.
