Simple Mobile and Wifi calling on Samsung S9

I have an international version Samsung S9+ that omits a built-in wifi calling setting. Simple Mobile permits wifi calling, and I used it sometimes on my previous phone, a U.S.-version Samsung S8+, without any difficulty -- the feature worked very well! Has anyone else encountered this situation? If so, any thoughts about whether there is a version of the Android OS for the S9(+) that can be flashed and includes the standard wifi-calling option compatible with Simple Mobile? Any advice is very welcome!

"international version"? where did you buy it? Because if it's an Asia variant, like HK or something, it will NOT support WiFi calling and messaging with US carriers. If necessary post the full model number, and someone here might know if it can be re-flashed or not.

FYI grey import Samsungs from Amazon and Ebay vendors are often described as "international", when in fact they're intended to be sold and used in HK, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, etc.

Thanks. Yes, it doesn't support wifi calling. It is model SM-G965F, which is identified online on various sites as being intended for sale in "Europe".
