simple one push time registration

Hello,

Hope i'm in the right place, and maybe you guys can help me out.

I'm looking for an app, as simple as possible, just to register a time. I work in irregular times and i would like a log file of my punch in and punch out hours.

So really simple, a button on my desktop screen and when i press it it saves the time / date (for example. 2014.05.26/08.30). It doesn't have to keep running, doesn't need to calculate my paycheck or my lunch break, nothing like that. Because i've found many apps who do all this but that's way to advanced for what i would like to have.

So really simple, some sort of time logging. Which i can export into a simple database file / excel...

I would like this because i have the feeling that my boss isn't always correct with my time in and out, and with this i can check this and be sure of it before i complain to her about my hours.

Thanx in advance!

Bart

What phone do you have? Interestingly I could accomplish a time out log easily with no app on my Note 2. Pull the S Pen out, use it to screenshot then annotate the screenshot with 'work out <date>', which gives me a sort of album of my time out log.

As for the exact app you are looking for, I have idea.

Hi,

Thx for thinking with me, but i'm looking for something that's even easier. I don't think it's very practical to do this with screenshots, that you have to name yourself when you do it. It takes to long and i know when i didn't get my dose of coffee in the morning, i'm just to sleepy to think clear...

My phone is a Sony Xperia Go running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2

If I pull down my nottification bar, the date and time are displayed. A screen shot would capture that without further effort.

If you have internet access, try Google sheets. You can create a form to easily capture info including date/time input field (I think it lets you program default input values like current date time as default). Put a shortcut to the form on your desktop. To punch in, click on shortcut, click submit and you're done.

If you don't have internet, memento can do similar function, I think.

With both memento and sheets, your data is captured neatly into tabulated database.

You could also do it with tasker, but there's a learning curve....I wouldn't learn tasker just for this.

If none of above appeals to you, search play for timeclock...I'll bet there is something

I realize what you are trying to accomplish. I searched the Play Store and found one that appears that it will do what you want after you get it set up. From the description given, you can set up a project (i.e., your work log) and then place a widget on the screen that will allow you to start and stop time to that project. It does way more than what you are looking for, but it is free and I believe you can beat it into submission. The name is Timesheet - Time Tracker.

Hope this helps,

I was going to suggest Time Recording Pro, but according to the OP that's too advanced, or at least overkill. You could create a widget using Tasker, that would write the current date/time (in any desired format) to a text file, and then import that text file directly.
