SipDroid works like a champ on S3! VZW

I installed SipDroid today and it is working well on the S3. I have the VZW variant and it is able to register and make calls using Wlan, 3G, and 4G.

I have to take a conf call every M W F at 7:00am while I am taking my son to school. This allows me to take the call using DATA and not my personal minutes. I have not tried Bluetooth yet though.

I read in a couple places around the web that VZW blocks this but I have not run into that so far.

A word of warning though. While SipDroid is active (must be shut down via exit command under menu) it will handle ALL outbound activity. In other words if you make a call from contacts it will go out over SipDroid as well as the standard phone icon. For me this is an issue since I ONLY use my SipDroid account for work purposes. So I have to remember to shut it down completely so I can make a call using the Cell/3G/4G networks.

Hope this helps some folks!

Took my first conf call and all worked well this am.. However when I stepped into work the freakin auto connect wifi feature (to save myself from myself) auto connected to the wifi and dropped my call. Gahhhhhhhhhhh!

Call was 45 minutes and clarity was excellent.
