SiriusXM coming to Android

I don't have an official link. Octane DJ Kayla just mentioned on her facebook fan page that SiriusXM is coming to the DROID in May. I assume she means the android market and not just the DROID. Octane is a rock station on SiriusXM that I frequently listen too. I'm so excited.

You beat me to it. I was just going to post the same thing. I'm also sure she just means the market and not just the Droid. This will make switching from the iPhone much easier now.

^ I don't see how that is possible either. If they put it in the android market, it should be available for ALL android phones, not just the DROID and Nexus One.
This could save me some money. I can dump the subscription on my car radio and just go with the online sub which is $2.99 if I'm not mistaken.

damn beat me to it too im excited
Arent those two phones the only one that "officially" have 2.1 I bet thats why they are only saying those two

Oh hell yeah! Octane on my Droid! Woo hoo! That just made my day!

My problem with the SiriusXM app is no Stern. I know to some people they could care less about Stern but I would want to listen to him. I am listening to Stern on Droidlive now so the SiriusXM app is kinda a disappointment to me but for all that listen to the music...enjoy! With all the other radio options like Pandora and others, I am seriously thinking of canceling my subscription to Sirius. I have 2 radios and the internet subscription so it would save me some cash.

They contradict themselves in their own press release. In the title they say Android smartphones, then in the text only refer to the DROID. Its gotta be just an App, and clueless PR people. :)

It might only be available to the Droid or N1 in the market (just like Google Earth was only for the N1 for a while and at times Droid users couldn't get it from the market.) 2.1 users probably could find a way around this, but that might be what they do if they decide they only want to support those phones.
