The Market is the only place remotely safe.
You want to play in unregulated waters?

Applying common sense and one's own best judgment, for a change, goes a long way to security.
You can sometimes find little gems in 'unregulated waters'. You'll never find those in waters that have been 'cleaned up' before you got there...

Emphatic YES I do. The alternatives is to allow large corporations a excuse to charge $ to and require you to give up your Social Security Number just to have the privelege of writing a personal app for your own phone. Just another case of those that trade liberty for security deserve (and most often in the end get) neither.

Don't be lazy or ignorant, learn about the dangers and take some caution when going out into the real world.

Android Market
Amazong appstore

Those are the only two approved official app destinations (Appbrain, etc. are OK - but technically redirect you to Android Market so those don't really count)

With that said, I'm closing this to avoid any potential linking of piracy websites.
