Size of exported contacts VCF file

As a way of backing up my contacts, I regularly export them to my SD card, then copy the resulting VCF file from there to my PC.

When my phone was new, the size of the VCF file hovered around 1 MB for quite some time, then it abruptly jumped to about 5 MB and held there for about a year.

Just now, I did the export again, and the resulting VCF file was about 106KB!

Of course, I'm wondering if the file is incomplete or what.

Anybody know what's up?

I exported my contacts to my sd card so you can compare. My VCF file is at 243kb. I don't store Facebook or any other social network contact information and I only have about 113 contacts with only phone numbers, gtalk info and email addresses. All my contacts are backed up through google.

I'm not sure if any of what I listed above has any impact on the file size but I'm guess it would.

I've got about 600. Phone and email for most. Address for some. I use Yahoo mail, so I also have to join the Yahoo contact with the Google contact to avoid having duplicates. No FB or Twitter links. Very few profile photos.

Your file is already twice as big, with a lot less contact info.

Hmmm...
