Help 'Skin' on stock android

Hello folks,

Probably, I am the only person who doesn't want stock android. While I wasn't very happy with some of the features of HTC Sense, it did make life a little easier on my HTC One X. Now I have Play Edition Galaxy S4, but the stock android drives me nuts at a times.

I wonder if there is any application that can be used as 'skin' on stock android, similar to HTC Sense, if not similar, something like it. Do the launchers do a similar job?

Launchers do a lot of what OEM overlays such as Sense and Touchwiz do, but not quite all. My guess is the right launcher will likely do everything you have in mind.

There's lotsa launchers to pick from. One of them is bound to suit you. The hard part is finding the right one. IMHO start with Nova or Apex, you won't go too far wrong with those. Or just browse though launchers in the Play store and try some that look interesting. Hint: Stay away from Go Launcher.

Remember, first impressions might be a little deceiving. It takes some time to learn what any launcher can do. If you think you found a possible keeper, live with it a while.
