Skype always active and signed in

I occasionally use Skype on my phone (Samsung Note 3 Neo). However most of the time I don't want it active, so I always sign out of Skype on my phone when using Skype on my desktop.

However, it seems that I am not signed out of Skype on my phone as I still get messages and calls on my phone through Skype, even after I have signed out.

This is really annoying! I actually have to go to Settings-->Application Manager and do a Force Stop on Skype to get it to become inactive.

Has anyone else seen this issue?
 
A lot of people have this problem, doesn't seem like the Skype team has any interest in fixing the Android app.
 
Actually it does seem like a bug in Skype for Android.

The log in automatically option is supposed to be for when you start Skype - it doesn't ask you for you login credentials.

Also, Skype for Android shows you as Online even when you've killed the app on your Android phone.
 
Even on desktop Skype is pain in the a$$. Always on, very annoying to shutdown. I wonder why Microsoft is making it like that. This is a behavior of a spammer rather than a big mature company.
