Help skype camera

Hi all.When I Skype my friend I can see and hear him but he can only hear me.when I touch the video icon in Skype we connect but I notice after we connect and he cannot see me the video icon has a line through it Hence he cannot see me.I have tried to untick the icon but it will not allow me to.When I am not using Skype both my tablet cameras are working OK.The problem is not at his end as there are no problems when I use my PC or laptop.I am using an allwinner 10 and android KitKat 4.4.Can anyone help me out with this problem.I got a link from skype,downloaded it and it made no difference.Thank you in anticipation. Turn on camera and switch to selfie mode to see if the front camera is actually working and not defective.

Many thanks for your answer.Just checked camera and both working fine.I never had this problem on my all winner 9 tablet running jellybean. JAH
