Slim Extended Batteries

Hey guys, since our phone only comes with a 2900mah battery and the G4 is a 3000mah battery I've been looking around and since the G4 batteries fit in our phone, I'm searching for a slim extended battery that is actually working.

I hear a lot of good thing about Acesoft batteries and I found this one, anyone bought any of these yet?

I'm very interested as well. I came from the Zmax (which has amazing battery life) and getting used to the shorter battery cycle of the Stylo is the biggest challenge so far. I'd also like to hear from anyone who has tried any of these batteries, especially the 4300+ mAh ones on eBay.

I bought one and should be here today or tommorrow. I bought the Acesoft 4370 mah one.

I'll report back with results in the next couple of days after a few power cycles.

I'm interested in this as well. Would be great to get extra battery life. Thank you for the report when it's done.
Anthony.

Don't bother, I bought the 4370mah battery and it drained super fast and started to make my phone screen flicker. Swapped it back out for the original battery. I'm probably just going to buy an LG G4 genuine 3000mah battery to at least get that extra 100 mah.

Dang! I was hoping for something definite. Oh well. Thanks for testing it out. Let us know how the 3000mah does.

Funny thing is the OEM battery made my screen flicker for a bit not that long ago. It continued even after I restarted a few times and even a battery pull. After about an hour it went back to normal without me doing anything. I was getting ready to file a complaint for a return, but it has been okay since.

All it is is just the old exposed story of the 14k gold labeled batteries with just a new wrapper/label.

If anybody remembers that story it goes, that someone took the wrapper off one battery and it was in fact a regular normal sized battery that had been recycled and relabeled as a larger size.

Your best bet would be to buy the boost mobile version 3000mah lg branded battery, hell really buy 2 and carry a spare around in your back or wherever, when one dies and is fully drained pop off the back and replace with new fully charged backup battery.

Mathematics and physics will answer your questions about the size, it'd have to be bigger and plus half the size of the original battery to be a 4370mah battery.

Only thing is don't let either battery die all the way. I used to have 6 batteries for my Motorola photon 4g and draining them down all the way to nothing before switching batteries made them lose their capacity very quickly. It got to the point where I'd only get about one hour screen on time per battery.

You're making me think that might be the reason for my battery issues, but then I think not possible I've only had this phone 3 or 4 months. I used to get 5:30-7 hours of screen on time now I get 2-3:30 maybe. This is weird. Sorry didn't mean to take over this thread.

I usually pull a swap and replace when I'm around 5% to 10% I guess not truly completely drained down. But drained enough that it's almost impossible to perform normal functions without having battery saver turning some stuff off on you.

Hi guys just got this phone today & I'm going to order an extra battery for it.
Just curious to know which replacement battery works best, I don't need extra (Mah) just an extra replacement battery that works as good as the original.
Thanks.....

If you can't find an original stylo battery then you can also get an lg g4 battery it does work. I'm not sure about the other brand batteries because I haven't tried them. I hope this helps.

I'm late to this party, but I read a LOT of heavy technical newsletters.

The battery industry gurus who make these things tell us to try and recharge them at 40% for maximum lifespan.

And, don't be trying to get them charged to 101% either. when the phone signals you at 98% ~ call it good enough.

High Temperatures are the enemy of battery life. Draining the battery to zero is horrible for the chemistry involved, and it results in high recharging temperatures because of the very long charge cycle times.

At 40%, you are trading off "all day use" for years and years of continued use of a battery.

I have a 6 year old Galaxy 'S' with the OEM battery in it.... I have practiced the above since it was new.
that phone is still working, it gets occasional use as a camera or WiFi device.
I keep it charged more or less...... extended non-use recommendations is to keep the battery at 40% to get the best "shelf life" for non-use.

that 40% number just keeps cropping up... don't it?

I use a Qi wireless charging coil in my phones. They charge at roughly 40% of the Maximum rate of the OEM charger wall warts.... I use an app to beep at me when the battery is 40% ( MacroDroid ) and when I hear that, I drop the phone on a Qi pad asap if possible.

If I am at my office desk, and I use the phone a lot with a BT headset, I just lay it on the Qi charging pad. It trickle charges while I am talking, then when the call is ended, it charges at about 40%..... life is good.

I don't have a spare battery for any of my phones.... have never needed one.

If 40% catches you mid-day, change to a spare battery, and move on.
Put the spare on a slow charger and it will be ready when the phone needs it.
