Help Slow performance :(

I've had my razr about two years. It generally runs fine, but I've noticed that sometimes it suddenly gets really slow, e.g. ill tap something and there's no response for like 20 sec. This tends to be worst when I'm using either the system Web browser or google chrome, and its definitely worse when using data, even when i have 4-5 bars, and even after i clear the browser cache. With wifi, its usually not a problem.

Also, this often happens right after i turn my data on. I use an app that can turn it on and off with a simple tap ... Been using the app pretty much since getting the phone.

Rebooting the phone sometimes helps, but often doesn't.

Anyone know of common reasons that the phone would slow down mainly when i first turn my data on, or when I'm trying to browse using the data connection?

Clear the Cache Partition where temporary data is stored. It can become fragmented/contaminated and slow things down as it constantly reorganizes itself to find a place to store a temporary file.

Thanks Thom. At first I figured that my question was silly, and then after I went to that link, I realized there's no way I would have been able to guess how to do that. I've cleared the cache partition and so far it seems to be helping. Really appreciate your help.
