Help Slowing Tab 3 Keyboard Response Rate - Why??

I've had my new Tab 3 8.0 for about a month. Over the last week the response time for the keyboard has gotten very slow. You can't even type because it takes so long to enter the letters. I turned off the Smart Screen features, which didn't work anyway, and that has helped a small amount. It's still not where it was when new. Don't want to do a factory reset if I don't have to.

Any ideas? Anyone else having similar issues??

Just a stab in the dark: restart the tablet. There is also an Active Apps Manager, to help stop programs left in the background. If it's only the keyboard typing is slow, it could be the dictionary growing too big. Try an alternate keyboard with a well optimised dictionary like SwiftKey
