I have a non-branded, stock firmware Galaxy s5 - I wanted to update it to Lollipop - and downloaded Kies 3.. Followed the directions... And my phone is bricked..
It downloaded the update, and said that the device would restart, and that I would have to disconnect and reconnect the USB..
Problem is, that the phone only boots as far as the Galaxy S5 screen and says "Recovery Booting...." in the upper left hand screen.
I have tried rebooting, tried to reboot into safe - (holding home+power+volume +/-) and all it does is boot directly to the same screen mentioned above.
Kies does not even act like the phone is connected to it anymore, and leaving the battery out for 5+ minutes has yielded no results other than mentioned above.
Any thoughts?
