SM-J700t - Samsung Galaxy J7

Any new galaxy sm-j700t root from android methods that are for the marshmallow 6.0.1 update

Check out XDA, there's a new working TWRP for this device making it horribly easy to flash supersu. Another Dev and I also have a few roms up for the J700T. If you have any questions feel free to message me.

How do I root my phone j7

You have to have access to a Windows PC running XP or a newer OS. No PC=no root.

Go to xda-developers and search for the J7. Open the thread and scroll down to the Galaxy J700T portion. There's a thread by ashyx for TWRP (aftermarket recovery). Find his thread and download the .img file for Odin and his encryption breaker which is linked in the first post, you need to search Google for the newest Odin build and download it. Install Odin on your PC, then go back to xda and search for SuperSU and download version 2.82. Now go to settings in your phone and find About Phone at the bottom and open it. Tap build number until you enable developers options then go to it. Inside of developers options you need to enable OEM unlock and USB debugging, if you don't and you flash TWRP you're going to brick your J7. Once this is done plug your phone into your PC via USB and transfer the TWRP img file to your PC, make sure you extract the zip!!!!) and boot your phone into download mode (hold power, volume down and the home button until you see a blue screen that says Download Mode) and push volume up to accept and enter. Go to Odin and hit the AP button and select the extracted tar.img. Before hitting OK go to Odin's options and TURN OFF EVERY SETTING, hit okay and flash TWRP. Now unplug your phone and pull the battery out and put it back in. Boot into recovery (power, volume up and home) now this part is super important seriously, IF YOU SWIPE TO MODIFY THE SYSTEM YOU HAVE TO FORMAT DATA OR YOU JUST HARD BRICKED YOUR PHONE!! BACK UP ALL THE FILES YOU DEEM IMPORTANT TO EXTERNAL STORAGE BEFORE FORMATTING DATA. To format data hit wipe and format data type yes to format. After this go to mount and hit cache, dalvik, data, system, internal and external storage now go to install and flash the supersu zip first and then the encryption breaker. After flashing both reboot and go through setup and your set with a rooted J7.
