Help small annoyance - wallpaper position with home button

Hi everyone. I hate that my first post here is a question/problem, but here goes. I just got a Samsung Galaxy S and love everything about it so far. I'm typically pretty OCD about screen layouts, behaviors, etc. I noticed that when I'm on a screen that's NOT my home screen, and then press the home button to return to the home screen (as opposed to swiping back to it), the wallpaper does not jump back to the proper position of the wallpaper until I touch a blank space on the screen. I honestly can't remember if it was doing this out of the box or if it just started because some setting I messed with. It does this with both Live and static wallpapers. Has anyone else experienced this? My wife's LG Ally doesn't have this problem.

Edit: just realized this may be in the wrong forum. Apologies.

Never seen this happen before... hmmm...

Stupid as this might sound, when was the last time you restarted your phone? (yeah I am copying this answer from another thread.)

I've restarted several times for various reasons, and tried a variety of wallpapers, but I still have the issue. It's particularly frustrating because, as I mentioned above, I cannot remember if it was doing this out of the box. I'm temped to try a factory reset out of curiosity, but I'm just now getting my phone set up how I want and don't want to have to go through all that again.

After reading your post I checked my phone and it works perfect. Must be some software issue. Lets check what options you have-

1.) Factory reset.

2.) Try some homescreen replacement app. Launcherpro maybe. It should be fine on that. And maybe when you switch back to touchwiz after launcherpro the problem would be gone but thats unlikely.

Just thought I'd post that I have found the cause of my problem. First, I have a Samsung Fascinate, not the Galaxy S model itself (I am new to the whole smart phone thing...feel free to move this topic one more time :) Anyway, I did a factory reset and discovered that the ugly default Weather Bug weather clock that is placed on the home screen allows my wallpaper to jump back appropriately when I hit the home button. If I removed this, the wallpaper would not jump back. So, I leave this widget in place but on another screen. I noticed the problem goes away if I have certain live widgets on one of my screens, but the clock widget seems to resolve it the best. Very odd bug.
