Small chip on laptop screen

I have no idea how it happened but I just noticed it. I've never had this problem before so does anyone think it will spread? It's really more of a deep scratch than a chip but It doesn't bother me because it's in the upper right corner and hard to see and I would hate to have to give up my laptop for 2 weeks while best buy replaces the screen under warranty. I can't get it to show up on a picture.

I would get it fixed under warranty, no point taking chances.
It could even be a hairline crack, but dont forget the screen does tend to heat under use & cool down when switched off so it could spread.
I know how you feel about having to do without for a while, better that now than longer later.

Additionally, people as a general rule tend to use one corner or the other to open and close their laptops, and the torque from this would exacerbate the problem.

You got warranty, use it.

Seconding thirding the "get it fixed under warranty" advice. There's a good chance that the chip/crack could spread over time. Might as well get it fixed under warranty if that's an option to make sure you don't end up with an unplanned down-period later on.

Well I decided to get it fixed under warranty then sell it to get back some of the money that I'll be spending on a Chromebook today! :D

Thanks for the advice!
