Help Small icons have appeared next to older icons

Behind the Chrome icon is a little white circle with a lower case i in it.
Next to the messages icon is a pencil.
Next to the Camera icon there is a white square.

These weren't there yesterday. What are they? I can't seem to get them to do anything.

Have no idea, suggest you post a screen-shot as it might ring a bell with someone else here. What phone is it? Are you using stock launcher or something else?
