Smart Lock on pin codes

Hi all,

I've got an Samsung Galaxy J3 from my company. But after i setup mail app, i can only use PIN Code as a screen security, not the one i used before where i draw between dots. Is this somthing with the Outlook Exchage server we use at the company, that setup that rule, i must use PIN Code, as a lock for the phone?

I tried then to use the Smart Lock, that mean if i sitting with the phone in my hand, or just lock i for a second i dont have to enter PIN Code again. I can't activate this anymore. When i go to settings --> Lock screen and security --> SmartLock i enter my PIN Code, and then the SmartLock is blank. I tried to reboot the phone, nothing help.

What should i do?

Sounds like your company has put security restrictions on their device..

so you may need to talk to them about relaxing them.

Yeah, it sounds like that, i tried to turn off what the email app is allow to, and then it turn off my email app on the phone, and then i'm allowed to use SmartLock.

I tried to contact my IT Admin, and he know absolute nothing, and btw. i helping him with stuff, so if some one can tell me where to look after a solution to turn it off, it will be good, or a way to go behind the settings, maybe an tweak or app can do the SmartLock function ?

The restrictions should be at device management end, rather than on your device.

There are ways around it, but this would be bad for your company and may get you fired if they find out.

If you want a phone that you can do anything with... Use your own phone and not the company one.

Yes i know, but everytime i should inside the phone, i need to enter that damn password, and sometimes its so slow, and take som time, much easier with dots. But does there finds some third party apps that will ingnore this setting, so i can use that email client instead?

I find the app "NINE" that works! both calendar, and email.
