Anyone else having problems with this functionality?

I've set up my Trusted Face and Trusted Location and neither seem to work. I still have to put in my PIN every time. Is there something I'm missing?
 
Trusted location doesn't work for me either. It worked fine for a while then just stopped for no apparent reason!

Trusted location got kind of flaky for a bit, but I think it's fixed in 5.1. Trusted Face may have a bit of delay before it kicks in.
 
Not working at all for me on Nexus 6 running 5.1 stock. I'm using pattern lock and have turned smart lock features off and on. Still requires the pattern every time. No matter my location, it always makes me draw the pattern to unlock.
 
If it helps any, you're not alone - searching Google for smart lock location not working found a ton of others with similar issues.

I even found a thread at Android Central with a potential fix:
Here is what worked for me on my N6 and N9.

Turn off smart unlock on your home and work and remove any other addresses.

under security in the advanced section choose trusted agents
Turn off smart unlock
back out (might not be necessary)
go back in and turn it on

Now add back in your addresses.

I too had trouble with trusted location. The fix I found on google's site said to add another location adjacent to your existing one. I added the neighbors address and it's worked fine since then. Why that would fix it is a bit of a mystery to me, actually. Also, be aware if you don't use the phone for 4 hours it will lock regardless.

Google Play services made a rather lofty jump from 7.0 to 7.3 a couple days ago. While there don't appear to be any big API changes for developers, a couple of pretty obnoxious issues were cleared up for regular users. It looks like the Home address in Trusted Places is not only working again, but there's now an improved UI that makes it even easier to set up safe zones.

So sounds like GPS 7.3 is the magic number to get Trusted Places working again. :thumbsupdroid:
 
That seemed to work Codesplice. Thanks man. Haven't updated play services yet either. Unfortunately, it only works when I use the physical power button. When I use the screen off and lock app by Katecca to lock the screen, I have to re-draw my pattern. Weird. Must be something to do with the way the app calls the lock function I guess.

Yeah, I actually saw a bug report on the Google bug tracker describing that exactly - using an app to lock the screen doesn't allow the Smart Lock function to be triggered because reasons. I'm not aware of a work-around. :(
 
Thanks for confirming that Codesplice. Hopefully, someone will find a workaround. I'm currently only using swipe to unlock until they sort this out. Feel bad for all the folks with work exchange servers that require some sort of security lock though.
