Help smart switch app

hi I'm trying to move my mothers laws pics from her iphone5c via smart switch to her new sgs5, it moved the contacts and wifi setting etc fine but on the second screen where the photos are Eric after I click import it just says unable to connect to iCloud?

any ideas there are about 1200 photos not sure if that matters?..

I tried to use the Samsung's smart switch app but whenever I tried to connect to iCloud the wifi would mess up for some reason. Until I restart the phone, it would say all the wifi networks are out of range.

So I imported the contacts through csv files and used Google Photos to transfer photos. I know this isn't really the answer to your question but I'm saying Google Photos is a decent alternative for you.
 
thanks, I've got it running Google drive and Dropbox at the min, only trouble with db is it only lets you down 1 file at once bit of a pin with 1200 photos lo, not sure if drive lets you do more..?
 
I don't have much experience with dropbox (yeah, I'm one of the few who only tried skydrive and googledrive) but it should have an auto sync option and so should g drive. Then leave it overnight.

For faster transfer just use a usb cable and do it via a computer.
