Smiley instead of Enter key in LG Nexus Android version 4.3

Hi All

when I SMS with built it software (google keboard) or with Swift I have annoying smiley instead of Enter as the default.
in order to press Enter I need to press the UPPER key or hold the smiley key for few seconds (in Swift) to get the Enter key.

How can I set the Enter key as Default instead of Smiley ?
can I get Rid of the Smiley keyboard ?
anyone has other suggestion ?
