Smoothsync for iCloud Contacts and Calendar

Hi all
Maybe you can help me.
I had S3 and now S4.
I have both smoothsync for calendar and contacts.
Then set up no problem on S3 but for some reason on both S4 and Galaxy Note 8 Tablet, each time I restart or shutdown then I need to reestablish accounts again via either Add Account or the Smoothsync application.
I love the product but this really annoys me, as it seems the login uset and account does not save or hold.any ideas?

Why not just sync contacts to Google instead of iCloud to reduce the hassle? I mean you don't have any iOS devices so making it sync to Apple servers, which Apple really doesn't want to happen if they can help it, so why bother?
