SMS app

Hi. I'm using an unlocked Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 which had an upgrade to 6.0.1 in October 2016.
After the update I had a different SMS app that I don't particularly like.
I want an app that allows me to lock conversations by long pressing on them to ensure I don't accidentally important messages. This is what I had before the update. My current SMS app only allows me to archive or delete them. I'm hoping somebody can recommend an app to me.

I've not used one that lets you lock entire conversations that way. Individual messages, certainly. Textra may do enough though, since it lets you select multiple messages and then use the 3 dot menu to lock them all. May not be as convenient as locking the conversation, but does allow a fairly simple way of protecting important messages.

A good message backup routine is also useful as a precaution.
