sms auto emoticon

Hi! When I sent a sms my phone add a emoticon example: (+_+) and another ascii text. Why? On Galaxy S3, JB 4.3
 
Hello and welcome to the forums
Cause the SMS is word format only and the emoticon is a picture so that was a MMS. This happen a lot on Verizon or if u swapped sims cards . they are not reading correctly. You are not rooted
